Deadline for returning staff
November 19, 2009
As I am sitting in the downtown office preparing for next summer, great memories keep popping through my mind about our past summer season together. I find myself missing the senior boys cheers, the senior girls attitude, our junior boys enthusiasm, the junior girls participation in all camp activities and most of all the staff stumbling slowly towards the coffee machines at breakfast!

As the holidays are approaching, I realize more and more everyday how lucky camp has been this past summer to have had such a good staff team and I want to personally thank you for putting your heart into the summer and all the hard work that contributed to making a difference in the lives of so many children this past summer. Through cold water in the showers and all the rain, through change and challenges you have embodied more than ever Non Nobis Solum and have proudly carried our kanawanian community towards a new era for YMCA Kanawana.

Thank you. First and foremost this is a letter to remind you that it is time to think about returning to Kanawana again, to make a difference, carry the torch and have another memorable summer. So many of you were outstanding last summer that camp would be lucky to have you back.

If you want to return to camp: Please fill out the staff application form and medical form that is posted online at www.ymcakanawana.com and click on the "find a job icon",
then on "download an application form".
Please fill it out completely. It will be used to confirm correct mailing addresses, phone numbers, SIN numbers, email and medical information.
Please email me the electronic form completed, rather than sending a hard copy of the form. This will insure that all paper work is completed more quickly and correctly.

Once I will have received your application FULLY COMPLETED, I will contact you to set up a meeting to:
1. Welcome you back,
2. Discuss your change of position if it is the case,
3. Take care of paperwork,
4. Confirm the interest group you wish to teach.

I will start filling positions in January, if you have not confirmed your intention to return by Dec. 31st, you are not guaranteed the position that you are interested in. Also, pay close attention to the calendar of activities that is being sent out with this package. Attendance to these events will be required for your summer involvement.

My apologies to those who have not been receiving emails. Our lists should be updated, but if you or someone you know still are not receiving email, please email Nicolas at nicolas.garcia@ymcaquebec.org
or call at (514) 849- 5331 ext 206
to update your information so we can keep you in the Kanawana loop.

Non Nobis Solum
